Scott Nicholson

Scott Nicholson

Scott Nicholson grew up in Danielson, CT and started playing piano at the age of five. Although he was trained classically, over time he moved into other areas of music. Rock, jazz and country music became the norm as the years went by.

After attending Berklee College of Music in Boston and then graduating from the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, CT, Scott began to travel the country playing in all types of venues.
Scott had a two-year run playing in New York City at some of the most well known locations, including the Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center, the Waldorff Astoria, and Windows on the World in the World Trade Center.

Scott started in dueling pianos in Orlando, FL, playing at Disney World’s Jellyrolls Dueling Piano Bar. Along the way he has played clubs all over the country, including Rochester, Boston, Little Rock, St. Louis, Omaha, Billings Montana, and Calgary, Canada.

In 2003 Scott began performing in dueling pianos clubs in Las Vegas, NV, and ever since, has remained a staple of the dueling pianos scene in Vegas, working 5 nights a week, playing at Harrah’s Dueling Piano Bar, Napolean’s at the Paris Casino, The Bar at Time Square at NY-NY, and The Eastside Lounge at the Encore Casino, just to name a few.

Vegas is called the Entertainment Capital of the World, and Scott brings that edge and energy wherever he performs.

Van Walraven

Dueling Pianos Entertainer Van Walraven is one of the originators of the dueling pianos entertainment concept. For more than 21 years, he has perfected and performed his Pianos TWO the Extreme, Audience Inter-ACTION!, All-Request show at Las Vegas Strip Casinos and Resorts worldwide, at Charity Events from High River to Hong Kong, and on luxury Cruise Ships around the globe — including a three-year run at the world-famous Pat O’Brien’s Clubs , in New Orleans and Cancun, two years producing family-friendly Dueling Pianos for Disney Cruise Line and 15 years headlining at the New-York New-York Casino in Las Vegas, which is, per-square-foot, the busiest piano bar in North America.

By fielding hundreds of requests each night, Van developed an expansive repertoire of more than 4,000 songs, ranging from Rock to Bach. In 2001, Van put that repertoire–and his stamina–to the test, when he set the Guinness World Record™ by playing the piano continuously for 39 hours and 976 songs. His piano marathon helped raise money for music education in public schools.

Van lives and works in Las Vegas where he appears regularly with other “duelers” … many of whom he trained. Recently, with the help of his Canadian business partner, Greg Wing, Van has brought the true Vegas dueling pianos show to Alberta for corporations, colleges and charities throughout the province.

I just wanted to say how grateful we are to you and your fellow committee members for having us entertain at your spectacularly well-run event. It was most certainly an honor and a privilege for us to perform for HALOS in support of Kids Forever. Everyone involved in organizing the event, as well as a great many off the evening’s attendees, were exceedingly friendly and complimentary towards us.
We hope to see you again soon…perhaps in Vegas!!
All the best,

I could echo the same sentiments enough. Of the 100’s of events we have been part of, i have neber seen a more well run, more organized, more first class event.
Hats off to all of you!
Greg Wing
